Julie initially arrived in the United States as an international student attending Bergen Community College and later Ramapo College where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in International Studies. While pursuing her bachelors degree at Ramapo College, Julie started working as a volunteer at Asia Watch in New York City assisting Burmese and Cambodian students who were petitioning for political asylum.

Julie continued pursuing her education by studying and enrolled at Rutgers University at Newark, where she obtained her Master of Arts degree in Public Administration. Julie graduated in May of 2012 and was inducted into Phi Alpha Kappa.

At McLaughlin & Nardi, LLC, Julie serves as a paralegal primarily assisting Jennifer C. Meusel, Esq., in the areas of real estate and estate administration. She also assists and works closely with Pauline M.K. Young, Esq. and Robert Chewning, Esq., in the areas of commercial and employment litigation helping with calendar matters, preparing motions and communicating with opposing counsel and paralegals. Julie helps our clients in navigating the complex field of New Jersey law.

Julie is now attending Columbia University where she is working towards another masters degree in negotiation and conflict resolution. She is also working towards her certification as a mediator through the Westchester and Rockland County Mediation Center. Julie has been training in the facilitative approach to mediation as well as transformative approach. Since attending Columbia she has been mostly concentrating in mediation and restorative justice approaches in education.

Julie’s interests outside the legal field include being a member of ICAL (Instituto de Cultura y Arte Latinoamericano), a non-profit organization aimed at promoting the arts and culture of the different Latin American countries in Hackensack, New Jersey. She also enjoys running and outdoor activities. In the few free moments she has left, July enjoys reading and spending time with family.
